City Bible Forum – Life@Work Conference

Saturday, 18 Feb, 10am to 3pm | Living Church Carina

The working world has gone through a shake up in the last few years, the likes of which we haven’t experienced in our lifetime. New technologies. New ways of working. And at times new challenges unique to Christians. This can be unsettling, but also exciting!

How might the Christian faith help us reimagine a better way to work? A way that enables us to continue to love our colleagues and share Jesus. And cope with the increased feelings of tiredness and exhaustion many of us are feeling.

Join us at Life@Work Conference 2023 as we discover the answers. Feel confident to be a Christian in your daily work, in spite of uncertainty!

For further details and registration link, head across to the City Bible Forum website

Lunch will be provided! (Dietary requirements will be catered for)

If you’re new to Village, we would love for you to join us at our newcomer’s lunch. It’ll be a chance to meet some of the staff and others new to Village, as well as ask any questions you might have about Village. Our hosts are Al and Tammy Jones.

Parenting Course

Monday, 20 Feb, for five consecutive Monday nights
7:30pm to 9pm via Zoom

Back by popular demand, Village is running the Parenting Course this year! Over Zoom, 7:30-9pm for 5 Mondays starting February 20, so parents of kids 0–10 years old can do it from home with kids (hopefully) in bed 🙂 Each session we’ll watch a discussion starter video, parents will work through material at home, then we’ll discuss as a group online. Jeremy and Lucy will facilitate the course because, as their own kids will tell you, they’ve actually perfected parenting and definitely don’t have as much to learn as anyone else.

This is a great opportunity to gather together to be encouraged by God’s word as well as a great opportunity to invite family, friends, work colleagues to hear the gospel
Cost for painting is $5 for tie-dye materials
– BYO your own cotton shirt to help keep costs down. If the shirt is new, please wash and dry it first so that the tie-dye will work properly.
– BYO your favourite “comfort food”

Village Church Camp 2023

Friday, 10 March to Sunday, 12 March | Camp Somerset

From Friday evening March 10 to Sunday lunchtime March 12 we are heading back to Camp Somerset for a weekend of relaxing, building relationships and leaning into God’s Word.

Registrations open Sunday, January 29, 2023 and close Friday, February 24, 2023

Notes: (1) We are closing registrations two weeks before the camp as we need this time to finalise numbers and ensure we give Camp Somerset enough time to process our booking. (2) We will still hold our evening service at St. Paul’s at 5pm on the Sunday night, where we will continue our series in Matthew’s Gospel.

“Each year we have a number of people who struggle to get to camp because of the cost. If you’re in a position to make a donation, you can now do this as you register by hitting the donations button at the end. We really appreciate your help in bringing the community together! ” – Sam
